ON PEACE
The problem with peace is that there are far too many pieces
And it's tough for a peacemaker to piece together piecemeal
or please the parties that are party to partisan prevarication
Dispense with the prevailing pestilence of pistols
For they provoke incense and precipitate offence
As the present predicament flounders, provided with no solution
Instead the politicians pen epistles to appease the pleas
from pissed off peas in a pod, fighting over the name of a God
while the peace that passeth understanding prevails only in fiction
