A musician begins with calling out time

as it starts from one with feet tapping floor

A singer counts together and sings along

when the number progresses past four

A dancer however is another breed

that opens at five, at first position

The feet, which rooted kick off as soon

as the count goes past the number eight

An actor who sings thus finds it easy

when numbers progress from one to four

A singer who acts doesn't get queasy

upon hearing this call and furthermore

A dancer who sings is stumped however

and more than once starts late

because the ears are waiting for someone 

to call out the numbers 5,6,7,8

Roles get reversed when a singer dances

and then starts coordinated disorder

Left becomes right and the singer's left out

because nobody calls out the four.
