NATURE'S DANCE AT MY WINDOW

Tears rolled hesitantly, large drops
that left its lofty confines and broke free
gravitating willingly, towards hilltops

The earth waited patiently, tickled
by a rumour that teased the grass playfully
whispering discreetly, while it giggled

The artist painted freely, a wet brush
smudging the details of a journey
mixing obscurity, into the grey blush

The rain fell continually, cold shower
waking the somnolent lake affectionately
shaking dormancy, gripped in its power

And as it started quietly, so it disappeared
Leaving behind wet kisses clinging delicately
glancing above furtively to a sky now cleared

Suspended was I sedately, watching mist
creep in through my window seductively
enveloping completely, the present dismissed
