IF MY SKY SHOULD FALL
If my sky should fall I would want no safety net
No question marks left behind, no tears of regret
No posthumous pen of anecdote
No everlasting eulogy of note
But a smile from all the faces I have well met
A smile that stops the drops from spilling
shaking pillars where remorse is dwelling
Spouting the fount of fond memories
that fills the spine of directories
on a cargo train of thoughts fulfilling
The only want I would instruct to all
would be to follow this melodic protocol
The studio should sing
The shoes must swing
to melodies cherished if my sky should fall
- AN EXPERIMENT IN METONYMY
