FIND A WAY TO LEAVE THE PAST

Embrace the drizzling present and let it wash your worries away
Find a way to leave the past  because time ticks forward constantly
Sprinkle positively, happiness to all that walk on your way

And the whoosh you hear while rushing by is the voice of yesteryear
so clap your hands aloud to wild uncommon rhythms
Idle not with conjecture instead walk the razor on a whim
A new washing machine installed will not dry yesterdays fear

Good luck and cheer splash over the windshields of thorny trappings
Giggle whenever you get the chance, Guffaw if also allowed
Be generous always with hugs and gregarious back slappings

Let growling discontent brew in empty cauldrons long forgotten
Split your sides and of others too with unabashed jingling laughter
though tides that sweep unfriendly shores refuse to clear the rotten

Crack the whip of frenzy when possible dance to a waltz and swoon
Snap the reins of control, let fly the blinkers and grace tomorrow
with outstretched arms while others bark at the moon
