THROUGH THE DARK DOORS (A Hermit's Prayer)
Human trappings ensnared on velcro thread
Stitched by ourselves, we rotten the clothing
with eyes shut in search of our daily bread
focused on nothing, shuffling and stumbling
We walk the through corridors of blind trust
naively led to an unknown future
with one absolute of turning to dust
No one the poorer and none the richer
Through the dark doors where no one's been before
Fly me swift, high above the star that dies
Distancing life beyond all things we know
Answering surmise bereft of disguise
Take me strong winds no consequence I pray
Except departure the chaos today
