AIN'T NO SUNSHINE
Moondance when there ain't no sunshine
with captive ideals fighting for freedom
Wearing shoes dragged by feet beat
from running barefoot through every season
Jumping with predictable anticipation
for ripe fruits that lie upon a raw vine
Swirling through the misty clear
Malignant shadows dodged with temper benign
Maturity suppresses not hedonistic youth
where order held in delightful disarray
finds companion in dancing alone
Partnering guilt in this moonlit soiree
Moondance, when there ain't no sunshine
on a monochrome palette coloured blue
inward whirling like a turkish dervish
Waning gibbous towards paradigm anew
- AN EXPERIMENT IN ANTITHESIS
