A LITTLE TIME
Tarry your tempo, time
Slow your swift crusade
Grant me another glimpse
of the wandering nymphs
From distant north they fly
to warm southern skies
magical mystic migrants
feathered sunrise surprise
Polka dotted horizon
as far as eye can stretch
Fluttering mother and offspring
Eating, sleeping on wing
all I'm asking is a little time
before the death of dawn
Cotton candy curtains drawn
before the closing chime
- AN EXPERIMENT IN ALLITERATION
