YOU MAY SAY I'M A DREAMER
A SONNET EXPERIMENT - INSPIRED BY - IMAGINE
When I look at the Life I’ve led so far
The choices I made on the razors edge
I’ve tried to follow every shooting star
And bruised my skin while jumping every
hedge
I revel in thrilling discovery
Travelling on the rough road not taken
Friends are few and mystery my company
Solitude my inner eye awaken
I have ignored the rules but played the
game
An acrobat performing the high wire
I’ve found a spark and ignited a flame
Fuelling craving fostering desire
You may say I’m a dreamer who knows not
But I’d rather ride the high way than rot
