I am a genie stuck in a teapot

Waiting for someone to rub and release

Stories about me in classrooms are taught

Mostly mythology spirit unleashed

I am a goose all plump and corpulent

The eggs I release are gold and lustrous

Stories about me make children content

Although the fable is rather monstrous

I am a giant by size you can tell

I like counting coins and playing my lyre

Stories about me don't end very well

Evil dark plotting all seem to backfire

Fantastic fables are waiting hidden

In two words imprisoned just imagine
