NEW JOURNEY
The hills beckon with outstretched arms
to its ancient and undiluted charms
A winding road around the mighty Shola
Sentinels crowding a woody pergola
Encroached, Divided, Machined, Widened
Creatures having fled its pristine sanctuary
The remaining are suspicious.
On guard. Wary
Sound Horn and the din of trumpets grow
Impatience at the ride being slow
Unused to driving at this rate
Todays affliction, they hate to wait
Angered, Hassled, Frazzled, Rattled
The drivers, each others adversary
At times vicious,At times Mercenary
But with each new breath of air
Crisp with the excitement of an affair
The purpose becomes clear
Rebounding the echoes you hear
Cleansed, Afresh, Renewed, Replenished
A world of scent and colour luminary
Azure blue and Green topiary
