MAR 2018 DIURNAL NOTATION

The music of waking is never coarse
It swells with every gentle stroke
A crescendo of strings, lilting, uplifting, invigorating

The music of noon is seldom dulcet
Harsh notes. Abrupt punctuation marks
Staccato jabs stabbing the air like Orchestral Horns

The music of evening is manna for the weary
Soothing the worries of the day
A classical guitar plucking at heartstrings, breathing life’s essence

The music of night is romance
Dreams soaring on kaleidoscopic wings
A solo saxophone stoking the embers of sweet transgression

The music of the sleeping is calm
Quietly renewing. Slowly healing. Restoring balance
The Lullaby of a harp plucked over the drone of Tibetan water bowls
